We make church fun. Your kids will have a blast at our children’s worship services and activities. We provide a comprehensive program full of interesting activities and lessons for children from birth through 5th grade. And as they grow, your kids will progress through our Spiritual Pathway, which gives them opportunities to grow as Christians and to learn how to make wise choices.
Sunday morning options:
8:30 AM the nursery is available for children from birth to 2 years old
9:50 AM & 11:10 AM nursery is available as well as:
- 3 year old and 4 year old small group
- Kids Worship and small groups for kindergarten through fifth grade

Sunday Evening Activities:
What is Sunday Night Kids (SNK)?
SNK is a Sunday evening program for grades K-5th offered during the school year. It is 90 minutes of mission, games, and music. In the fall, we prepare for the Christmas concert and do weekly mission projects. In the spring, the group prepares a full musical and performs for the church.
SNK encompasses the Rock Choir where we sing, dance, play bells, and learn music basics. It is a fun time for all levels of music.
This group meets from 6-7:30 p.m. Drop off and pick up are in the lobby of the children’s wing.

We are so excited to welcome you to Middletown. When you arrive you’ll fill out a registration form, or you can fill it out beforehand below to expedite the process. We want your visit to go as smoothly as possible. We look forward to meeting you and your child!
Ages Birth-2
We provide the youngest members of your family with the love and care they need in a clean and safe nursery environment with excellent staff.
Ages 3-5
We give preschoolers a colorful, fun environment for Sunday School. Here, they participate in interactive lessons about love and kindness pulled straight from the Bible.
Kindergarten-5th
Our dynamic elementary programs help aid child development by teaching kids about moral values and Christ’s love through weekly bible teachings.
Buddy Break
Middletown Christian Church is blessed to be the first partner church in Kentucky for Buddy Break (Nathaniel’s Hope). Buddy Break is a free respite program that allows children with special needs (VIP kids) to make new friends and enjoy all kinds of activities, while offering caregivers a break from their responsibilities.
FAQs
Your child’s safety is important to us. We ask that you sign each child in at one of the computer terminals in our Children’s Lobby on Sunday mornings. (First-time visitors will be asked to fill out a simple form so your children can be entered into our electronic check-in system.) A two-part sticker will be printed. Your child will wear one part of it as a name tag, and you’ll need to present the other section at pick-up time. We pay staff members to work in our nursery and toddler rooms (birth to age 2) to give our youngest children continuity and stability. All of our volunteers and staff undergo background checks.
During the 9:50 hour, we use 252 Basics curriculum for Grades K-5 in Kids Worship and Small Group Discussion. 252 Basics is founded on three simple, but powerful, truths modeled by Jesus in Luke 2:52:
- I need to make the wise choice.
- I can trust God no matter what.
- I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
Children ages 3-5 use First Look, another curriculum from the creators of 252 Basics. They learn the same stories and themes in age-appropriate ways.
